Anyone else having trouble finding a place that sells lower cooling tins? I need one for my 77 Westfalia with a type 4 motor. The lower drivers side tin seems like it's impossible to find. _________________ 73 Thing

The sled tins need to match the exhaust system you are running,; 72-74, 75-78, 79, and California variants. |

Thanks, I just emailed them. It just seems like I have a mixed amount of parts or something that don't add up, lol
The holes always seem to be off, even after looking at the link tcash shared _________________ 73 Thing

Those won't fit a 78 unless you have a 72-74 exhaust, this is what you need if you still have F pipes leading to U pipes at the front: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1974959 _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

You might have a mix of parts. Here is the 72-74 tins.

Here's an old pic from under the bus...dont mind the old oil leaks, those have been taken care of!
The oranges circles show where my cooling tin would mount.

You need the 72-74 style, like the ones in the first link. The ones with the valley in the middle won't work. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

I swear my current setup looks like I need this one for two holes
and this one for two holes because they are a little closer together

Partially correct, whoever swapped the early exhaust on there left the late forward tin in place, you'll need those as well.
That one VWEd posted will work but you'll still need the early forward curved plates. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Alright, found my tins. Ended up having to install an older model forward tin that connects to my bottom sled piece, as suggested..
77 bus with 72-74 lower tins. go figure! Thanks for all the help fellas _________________ 73 Thing
