Here are some photos of a HEBMÜLLER VW that attended the 1975 VW-Veteranen Treffen meeting in Fulda Germany.
It had a license plate number of SI Y 445 (SI meaning the city of Siegen).
We are looking for any information about this "lost" HEBMÜLLER VW for the Archives.

| That is Nr. 14-00254 and I can assure it is still in Germany and well alive. |

Here´s another period pic from the same car, from my archive, taken most probably during the roundtrip on the occasion of that 1975 pre 57 VW gathering in Fulda/Germany, when the BREZELFENSTERVEREINIGUNG was founded.
Sorry for the quality of foto. In front of the heb there are more classic Volkswagens. I´d say in 1975 you needed to be quite wise to celebrate those "common" cars.

Anyone out there who knows anything about this car´s history between the years 1949 until 1975?? It is known, that late eighties/early nineties it was in Munich.

Hi JP. What about a copy of the KFZ brief from that area? The licence plates and adresses are a good source if the book is from the early days. When replaced if it was full... you lost the data. Maybe Flensburg? I have tried once but with no luck.

If the Heb was located in Siegen (around 30km from my Home ) maybe the members of the Käferclub (Käfertreter) Siegerland (exists since 1978) know something about the Car.

With a couple of keystrokes in Photoshop the faded color can be restored. Looks like L51 Bordeaux Red.

Peter, thanks for your thoughts. Well, the existing KFZ Brief (title) starts more or less in that era of 1975 and with those very numberplates SI-Y 445. So that document cannot serve to lighten the years before 1949-1975. The KBA in Flensburg unfortunately doesn´t store data for long time, already after around 10 years they are lost. So here no chances either. |

Thanks René, foto looks astonishingly far better. However, that car was/is definitively black ivory. |
