Seattle Meetup - Nov 13, 2016 (Marymoor Park) Show and Tell

I’m glad to announce our next Seattle Meetup at Marymoor.

Why/What ?
Brave the elements and come out to Marymoor Park for a Westy Show and Tell Meetup. The idea for this one is to tell the group a little about your van and perhaps some of the best mods or projects that you have made. Consider bringing some comfort food (chiili, soup, etc) to help you stay warm while we meet. The meeting is now in November, not December, so everybody should have a chance to talk about Westy projects and adventures without getting frozen.

"Look for the Westies"

I've talked to the Marymoor Park people and we've been directed to use again Parking Lot I (right off Marymoor Way by the Velodrome), see the park map at the following link http://your.kingcounty.gov/dnrp/library/parks-and-...web_09.pdf

This is the same parking lot as the last 4-5 years. Parking lot I is by a big/flat paved Recreation/Event Area and also close to the velodrome, so bring also bikes/rollers/skates/etc to have some fun! Also, in case you don't know, parking costs $1 in the park. Please, please, please, don’t forget to pay parking, I almost got into trouble one year because some people refused to pay parking.

Background
This is the sixth time we’re having this event. We’ve had as low as 30 vans (2013) and more than 60 vans in 2014 (with 50 on 2015). In all those years everybody had a truly great time.

A request..

I haven't attended before, so not sure if this already happens, but would you all mind printing your The Samba handle on a piece of paper and placing it somewhere easily visible on your rigs (ie if you back in to park have it in the front windshield)?

I will try and remember to do the same.

Good call. I hate using screen names in real life. Maybe a signup sheet in a central location where we can switch over to real names. A diagram in order of parking location with van description or color.
