Wipers and squirters stuck ON?

Just returned from what might be the last camping trip of the year. A good ol' fashioned Montana style trip with meat, guns, and booze.

On the way home my windshield wipers and squirter pump got stuck on, even with the control lever in the "off" position. I pulled the fuses to save my pump and what would have been an annoying drive home.

It seems like the wipers and pump think the control lever is in the "wash" position. How is the best way to troubleshoot this? Or, is it obvious to anyone that I need to replace the control lever vs ignition switch vs searching for a bad ground, etc.?
