Has anyone seen this before? 1974 magazine cover pic of a concept bus, looks water cooled and very close to a actual Vanagon. Very Happy

Pure engineering genius. In the grand tradition of underpowered V-dub motors, how about no motor?

I think that's just the LT, which debuted in '75

It's reassuring to see that mainstream media was every bit as sensationalist and irrelevant in 1974 as it is today. We haven't gotten worse, we're just the same.

The air intake at the top of the 'B' post is an indication of a front mounted engine.

So, even more fuel for the 'LT' argument....
(LT's are front engined beasts)

I had never seen or heard of an "LT" so my bad. It looks like a Vanagon and it says 1974 so I posted it. They never sold any buses that looked like a Vanagon where I am from until the bay windows were replaced in 1980.

No LTs were sold new in North America.
