Has anyone seen this before? 1974 magazine cover pic of a concept bus, looks water cooled and very close to a actual Vanagon.

That looks cool, but I wonder where the other 9 people sit.
Or was this for the Latin American Market....? _________________ 1990 Feldjäger Syncro AAZ

Pure engineering genius. In the grand tradition of underpowered V-dub motors, how about no motor?

It's reassuring to see that mainstream media was every bit as sensationalist and irrelevant in 1974 as it is today. We haven't gotten worse, we're just the same. _________________ - Jim

The air intake at the top of the 'B' post is an indication of a front mounted engine. _________________ Garyd

So, even more fuel for the 'LT' argument....
(LT's are front engined beasts) _________________ 1990 Feldjäger Syncro AAZ

I had never seen or heard of an "LT" so my bad. It looks like a Vanagon and it says 1974 so I posted it. They never sold any buses that looked like a Vanagon where I am from until the bay windows were replaced in 1980. _________________ 1971 Deluxe Sunroof Bay 1905 stroker, dual idf40's, 74mm Scat forged crank, engle 110 cam. No LTs were sold new in North America. |
