I don't have exact numbers as I neglected to check before i put them away this year. Best guesstimates
1964 Notchback roughly 1200 miles
1967 Bug roughly 1000 miles (speedo was broken till late fall when i refurbed it)
1971 Squareback roughly 3000 miles
1989 Doka just over 10,000 KM ( I know Stan won't count this one cus its got a radiator )
Not a bad year for me at all! _________________ 1964 Notchback

This year I've put about 1,300 miles on my '72 Super, since I started keeping track back in July. I try to drive it to work (20 miles each way) around once a week, plus any other opportunity I have to drive it. _________________ My '72 Super |

We actually put on a record number of miles this past summer. Went from Pittsburgh, Pa. to June Bug Rally in june, around 750 total. Then in July, went to Dayton Ohio for Kubeltreffen, maybe 800 total, plus many trips in western Pa. where we live, altogether around 2800 miles. Oh, thats in our 73 Thing. |

Happy New Year. Post up how many miles you drove in a vintage VW this year. Add a few pix too, if you got 'em.
For me in 2017:
'61 Bus: 1,894 miles
'65 Panel: 0 miles
'64 Vert: 3,079 miles
'71 Squareback: approx 2,000 miles
Total: approx. 6973 miles in vintage VWs for me this year.
In August I traded the '65 Panel bus for the '71 squareback with a local VW friend. The panel needed a transmission and had a few other issues. The squareback has a funky odometer, so I had to approximate mileage, for now.
My '64 Vert, drag racing. April 10, 2017 at Island Dragway in NJ for the AirRaid event.
My '61 Bus, at the Nantasket, MA beach car show, June 11, 2017.
My '71 squareback and me. Mic Mac cove Maine, Buses by the Buoy, Sept. 9, 2017.

3900 miles for me this year on my daily '60 bug (I fortunately work very close to home!) I also haven't used her as much as normal as she has been a bit temperamental with a worn out distributor - that shall be fixed 2018! _________________ 1960 Beetle ''Heidi" daily driver

Have not check yet but will New Years day like I have done in the past. Generally it comes out to be about 2500 ~ 3000 a year per car. All type 1's 68 72 73. Um the '01 pickup 6250 a year. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.
Numbers Matching VW's are getting harder to find. Source out the most Stock vehicle and keep that way. You will be glad you did.

Roughly 4500 miles this year in Inga, would have been higher but I spent more than half the year overseas.

Nice looking bug. I got this picture from your gallery. It also has a Judson supercharger and a 36hp motor, correct?
|
Yep that's correct! Judson has given 0 issues this year - in terms of reliability I've used my roadside assistance twice this year for points and once I forgot to refuel AND accidentally kicked my reserve tap so completely ran out. I also forgot she was off the road for a month getting some minor rust repair done. _________________ 1960 Beetle ''Heidi" daily driver
