I have a old ghia dash clock with a plastic lens, looks original. Are they made with plastic instead of glass?

What year?

I think they all have plastic lenses, but it may vary by year.

The lense needs to be plastic since there is a hole in the center for the adjustment knob, if it was glass it would break too easy around the hole since it's very thin.

Yes, plastic. Found out the hard way. Be careful when refurbishing, the plastic can scratch easily.

You can polish many types of plastic, and from what I've found most of the clear ones.
