Cool, thanks for hosting this trip. I think I can do it! Telluride would be awesome, so we can get "baked in Telluride" stickers and a good lunch. More welding today on my Bus, I'll get some updated pics _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |

Installing some dog legs harvested from a 70 I parted out a few years back. The rust was extensive through-out the dog leg but not into the seat pedestal area. My floors are still good as well (I have them the rustoleum treatment about 10 years back)

Well, I have some dents below the emblem to address, not sure if the football trick will work. I'm sanding down the rust spots for the rattle can treatment. I found an appliance paint that is almost an exact match.

after much "mulling it over" I think I use the roof rack so much I would really miss it. I am going to remove the nasty patch and see if its a factory hole. If it is I know of a sunroof I can install, if not I will weld in a real section of roof. _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |

The inner rocker was totally shot, so we made a new on from a section of motorcyle crate and my one and only section of Gerson (outer rocker). I had a bit of Mid-America to fill in the sheet metal damage. It won't last forever, but at my age I won't either! Pics of the fix tomorrow

Yes, that sounds like a fine idea!!! I might have time to get mine on a proper test drive this weekend (if I can get the 69 Westy outta the garage). _________________ Fat chick owner/operator |

Slowly getting there.
I have the temp Bug engine in but it doesn't want to fire so working through that right now.
Painters has my Bus block, the heads were not usable but the block is, so they are building up a 1914 longblock for me.
Picked up a single DRLA 40 with intake off eBay, should be here the end of the week.
Ordered Bosch Blue coil and simple ignition parts.
Still trying to figure out what distributor to run.
I have an older doghouse fan shroud I need to start cleaning up and get a new cooler ordered. _________________ In search of a Vanagon
