CIP1 now carries the KLOKKERHOLM pans in addition to the DANSK pans. Currently the Klokkerholm pans are $10.00 more since they are marked down at an introductory price. I spoke to a rep at CIP1 and asked him to measure the pans. He emailed me shortly after and stated "Both pans measure out the same between 1.15mm-1.30mm ish, depending on where you measure." That equals out to between a high 19 gauge and a high 18 gauge if the interweb charts are correct. He also said both pans have a very similar fit and finish.
I have read several gripes about the Dansk pans. Has anyone had any experience with the Klokkerholm pans? I have seen mostly good reviews about Klokeerholm panels but none have been about Ghia parts.
According to information found in Samba topic "Sheet Metal Thickness & Gauge, Quality of Repair Panels" the OE pans are 19 Gauge, .0437 in. (19 gauge = 0.0418 in./1.06 mm) so both vendors are making pans slightly thicker than OE metal.
Thanks,

For those of us who have fat chicks, I don't think you'll find any real issues with either pan. It's the early cars that have some issues with the replacement pans now being offered. _________________ ----------------------
