I was thinking of using something like this for the

heater channels, areas that you can't see or get to.

So far the best thing I've found for heavy rust removal is muriatic acid.

I been thinking of using this on a bunch of old factory nuts, bolts, brackets, etc., but what could I coat them with afterwards, so they don't repeat? I've got an old coffee can of used motor oil I dip them in, which has done ok, but if I want to reuse them, I should look into something better?

I've had great results with Rust Mort, but you have to prime it after it sets up, so I plan my work around that. No adhesion problems that I've ever encountered, though.

Idea I'm thinking of trying the "POR-15® Floor Pan & Trunk Kit" on the rusted areas in my rear wheelhousings (wheel wells) and luggage tray.

http://www.por15.com/POR-15-Floor-Pan-Trunk-Kit_p_61.html

Question Has anyone used it?

What I have read about POR products is that it is a combination rust converter/sacrificial metal coating. There are also reports that it does not work that well. If you are using it over rust that should not be an issue to remove anyways, it should work perfectly.

POR-15 encapsulates rust; it is not a rust converter. It has worked well for me as long as the area is clean and has some rust on it or, if not put on metal that has rust, the metal has been cleaned and scuffed up. (I don't use their marine clean or metal ready, and save money).
When I finished an underbody up restoration of my 1963 camper some 16 years ago, a few years later I cleaned the paint on the underbody, wheel wells, and front floor, scuffed up the paint, and brushed on grey POR-15. Fourteen years later, there has been no problem.

I believe I read that it has phosphoric acid in it? Confused Taking the rust out of the equation of causing rust again would be converting it,would it not? Confused

Edit: I found this interesting webpage that includes a lot of products.

I searched on the web for 'Encapsulator' and did not find a technical definition for it. Corroless does not list their ingredients that I could find.

Here's Rustbullets pitch and a test on competing products.

https://www.rustbullet.com/advantage/product-comparisons

In their test, cold galvanizing compound finished 2nd and a head of POR.
