|
|
Hi everyone,
I am a french new owner of an Adventurewagen from 1971.
A real beauty !
Unfortunately, the cover roof vent is missing... I have the possibility to rebuild it but I would need dimensions and photos of this cover.
Could anyone could help me ?
Or if someone has got this part to sell...
Thanks !

that is beautiful- congrats!
if you are referring to the 14" roof vent thay are very common rv accessories.
I just installed this one in my adventurewagen and couldnt be happier.

Pretty sure the original vent is 9x9 -- the opening in my AW top was that size and I couldn't find a replacement vent anywhere so I cut it to 14x14 .. which meant reframing the opening. Not a huge deal in my case because I was working with a bare fiberglass shell I hauled out of a cow pasture, probably not an ideal solution for the OP...
There's a 9x9 on the market these days but some of the reviews are iffy.

Interesting- is yours an early adventurewagen top?
Mine was definitely original 14x14 . from '78 _________________ 1960 6 volt sedan- 1978 adventurewagen

Hi,
Thank you for information...
I'm going to look at this. I would want to rebuild it because there is only the roof vent cover that is missing. Rest is ok and original.
But in waiting it, it could be a good stuff.
I will upload another photos of the inside which is original too... |

It's an early-style AW top, but just what year is unknown. It was literally just a detached hightop sitting in a field, the Bus it came from had been junked decades ago.. If it hadn't had the windows I wouldn't have bothered.
Yes, that's a late Bay in my profile pic. Top is older than the Bus...

Very nice bus. I have a 73 - and it came with a 14" vent- It was a weird design and never opened "up" per say, but had vent doors front and back and you could open the back flap to suck air out or the front to ram air in- I replaced with an electric fan which had rheostat and forward and backward blowing fan.
