I sent my old radio to Dave to check out and restore if possible. He spent a bunch of time with it and was never able to get it working properly. I mentioned that I would prefer to have an ivory button radio and he said he had one that he would trade me and would charge me a nominal fee for the difference. I don't remember how much. He sent me the ivory radio, beautiful by the way, along with a new speaker with an NOS mount that lined up perfectly with the mounting holes already in the dash. I've spoken to Dave a couple of times on the phone and he's a totally cool guy. He never sent a bill with the radio, just shipped it out and said pay me when it all works out. So Dave, if you're reading this, thanks loads and SEND ME A BILL. I want to pay you!! Later, Otis |

Dave responded to my wanted ad for a Bendix Saphire I radio support ad for a split bus. He pointed me into the direction where I can make my own support strap. THANK YOU for the help Dave! If I ever need a stereo restored I see now that I've found my guy! |

That's a real bummer. Thank you for passing along the information Everett. May Dave rest in peace and his family find comfort and peace when they need it. |

Dave was a hell of a nice guy. I will miss him.
I have a radio he restored in my '66 bus which works awesome and he was working on another one for me.
I also have a bunch of headlight switches here that belong to him. |

Very sad new. A big loss!
I knew Dave for many years. He always had a smile on his face and a funny story to tell. He was a guy who just thinking about him made you smile. Smart, patient, caring & detailed in everything he did.
He will be sadly missed! _________________ Home of the one true split Bus Motorhome |
