I will never understand why you don't just go with an XJ. Preferably one with an airbag. More power, more off road capability, cheaper parts, plenty of space inside to sleep and a roof to add everything you want to throw up there.

My first thought reading this was 'why the hell would you want to go off-roading in a Jaguar?' Granted I'm sure Stu would be up for a challenge |
My thought was a XJ Cruiser by Toyota and the only reason I knew it was a jeep is that Mitch has mentioned it to me before |
You're thinking about an FJ.
Get this https://olympic.craigslist.org/cto/6004174390.html and you will have money left over to start work on your traveling bus. _________________ 1978 Delux Campmobile

I remember seeing that thing in the past.
One of the comments I saw then mentioned that the frame on that particular truck is pretty "floppy" between the cab and bed, and the commenter speculated that it might not be a good idea to try to connect the two with the Bus roof.
I'm pretty sure I've seen at least one Chevy-type van with a Westy roof grafted on. Seems like that would be a better bet than this monstrosity. _________________ Dave Cook
