Hey man. I don't know what is a close match, but I have a pretty good size area of mine in solid shape. As per our conversation, mine is an early feb of 59 so23. I'm in need of the same thing. Not sure how long this style mat/covering lasted? Hope these help...

Is that possibly the SIWA refrigerator peeking out from over the rear seat back? _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

That front seat top looks like it is just turned around.. against the area that should have a bulkhead..looks like it is angled slightly.

There's no bulkhead (like a flipseat) although the lady is resting on something that looks like a partial bulkhead. Seat back is definitely flipped over and no flipseat arms. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

.. I agree, there is no bulkhead. Look at the top of the seat back. It has the two prongs that sit in the stepped notch just like a regular bench seat top. Not like a flip seat top.
The seat top is also sitting pretty far forward, look where it sits against the sliding window frame.
Looks like they cut the bulkhead out of a standard bus.

The guy on the BMW, who is the original owner of the FCG Bus, bought the bus in the pic for his father in '58. Had it shipped to the US shortly thereafter and replaced it with the FCG Bus. He bought a third bus after he sold the second one in 1961. _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

Red certainly had great taste in buses and ordered some epic Westy's. We need to know more about that Sunroof standard cut bulkhead red trimmed wonder bus. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

black steering wheel
early sunroof rails (through mid june '59)
light color paint
does not appear to have a headliner
the leads me to believe this is a:
late '58 or '59 light grey sunroof kombi,
or special paint pre july '59 sunroof kombi
or repainted pre july '59 sunroof kombi
So this is just a bus that Red hung out in, not one of Red's buses?
Nice that it has safaris like both of his Westies.
Very nice to see pictures of these three monster buses. I look forward to seeing what else he comes up with. _________________ .

Hmmm... maybe this settles it... looks like the duck's bottom lip is just above the window frame.
I took this pic at Chris'
