Like little get 3 sizes at the hardware store one will fit! Yeah, I got a hold of a carb the other day that did not have one. Really though I don't think it's going to be a problem to run without one. _________________ 1960 Beetle And 1679cc DP W-100 & Dual Zeniths! |

Yea I got the 2 smallest ones at HD, but the smallest still slides off. I may run the carbs without them, Thx _________________ 1963 Ragtop Bug |

Humm, I have seen those at the local true value store the kind they have in the assorted sizes and the smallest is too small. But Yeah, they come in metric sizes like 2 mm or something. I think the size must be the ID the size of shaft they fit so they would be pretty little that little float shaft can't be much more than 1/16". _________________ 1960 Beetle And 1679cc DP W-100 & Dual Zeniths! |

you can run without them, as there is no way for the screw to back out when the top is on the carb. _________________ modok wrote:

Without the e-clip the float can slide back and fourth and sometimes the float will bind in the far position. I have seen a small bit of wire twisted around the shaft in the grove to work in a pinch. _________________ 1957 Oval rag
