I'm sure I read somewhere that the markings/graduations on the side of the overhead air boxes changed at some point. Did I dream that, or did they change? If so, what are the differences and what year(s) did they change?

Mine is damaged. I'd like to know what to look/ask for if I source a cut.

There were three longitudinal ribs in the rear flat part of the air box that went away in early '58.
I'm not aware of anything changing on the sides.

Depending on how much work you have... you might need to source one that has the presence or absence of headliner retaining "fingers."
I think I've seen the serrated strips for sale on the AutoCraft site.

not sure how long the 5 dimples lasted into production, but maybe there is some info in that thread that will help.
