Do you mean like this?
I don't own all three of these anymore, but it was fun for awhile.
And here is a even older family group shot from before we moved to Canada.
Poor Carat, it has the mosquito measles! The Bay just got back from the paint booth. The Syncro in it's pure stock form.
And there's this shot.

I briefly owned this white '91 Westy but resold it and still have the long-term grey '87. I am unlikely to be multiVanagoned again. Pity.

To my eyes there is a very big difference between these two Vanagons. The earlier one still looks like a Bay almost, whereas the later one looks very modern. _________________ www.edwardpowell.com |

Not really, there are so many other vehicles to own. Having said that I wouldn't mind adding a sunroof 2WD lowered Vanagon....or a Syncro tin-top.... _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

this is what VW was trying to accomplish with the 'euro' look headlights and body cladding of the later model vans. alongside the upgraded 2.1l engine they tried to leave the old idea and image of slow VW vans behind them.

Wha?
Most folks living near the CAN border would agree that our friends to the north have a stereotype of being over the top with politeness.
If you're calling that "political" I'm surprised you didn't flag the "white but dirty" and "wife doesn't like a crowd" comments as pornographic.
EDIT: It looks like I (thankfully) missed some posts that were deleted. Thanks Everett. _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine

does this mean I can't make any gender-bender jokes about Syncros and 2wd vanagons?
ok... I'd rather have a vanagon and another vehicle than 2 vanagons - say a small travel trailer for times you want to park something and leave it as a mobile base camp while driving around during the day in your 4wd 'yota or jeep
one worthy here has a Volvo 303 to go with his Vanagon
also, I'd rather have a collection of sports cars than a collection of Vanagons... _________________ .... |

Thanks Mr Everett, for deleting those off-topic posts by me and others, yes, they don't belong here > but now that I (hopefully) have your attention... On the topic of moderation of this site may I ask why it is allowed that a certain individual is allowed year after year to blatantly denigrate , demean, and insult numerous members who are seeking help here.... not only does this member remain un-banned, but astonishingly the majority of his blatantly disrespectful posts remain un-deleted. I for one find this astonishing and I know of one HIGHLY knowledgeable and widely appreciated member who has permanently left on account of this.
Again I offer the following in a friendly constructive spirit for the betterment of this wonderful site. Here is the page showing the FORUM RULES: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=642065 I respectfully ask why SOME rules are worthy of upholding by the admin., while others are repeatedly, year after year, ignored?
> General Dos and Don'ts
> DON'T post political/religious comments, signatures, avatars, pictures, or videos.
> DON'T abuse site members or the web site itself on the forums
...this is going on ALL THE TIME by one particular member - I can prove that. To the credit of the Sambas diligent mods, they have tried their best to speak with and warn the offender yet he does not reduce his offensive behavior thereby repeatedly, year after year breaking this next rule also.
> DO take administrator and moderator warnings seriously I am told that this member would have been banned years ago if the mods had the authority to do that... so this is a polite, well-intending, and respectful question to the owner of the Samba... why does the situation continue as I have described above.
