Dropped the front another 1/2" and drove her in the St. Patrick's Day parade.
Thanks to VC Rides for the nice photo , but his darn logo is blocking out my matching patina single wheel trailer....

Stroked it!
Up to 1700 now, 85.5 x 74. Ok, so only 1699, close enough. With a 100 cam to boot. Running a progressive now but prolly will put the 40 Webers back on it. _________________ Some people are so busy being clever they don't have time enough to be wise.

Changed the engine lid seal. Sprayed Dynax inside the engine lid, inside the jacking points and inside the sills. _________________ 1972 Westfalia Camper

Sorry it took so long. Do you have recommendations for someone doing the same task, to make it go a bit easier? Thanks... _________________ -Kent-

I've decided to do a spring cleaning! One chore a day.
Started with something easy - cleaning the passenger area.
Took out the seat, swept up the dust and the decomposing seat matter, found a very old looking tire repair kit that cost $1.09 at Sears, and an old can of brake fluid. Recycled all the paper bags I had stashed back there. Untwisted the seat belt. Dusted off the jack and the tools I found under the seat. Wiped down the back wall and the mats under the seat.
Realized there are some hidey spaces under that seat.

Battery not holding charge so took the old one out to get a replacement tomorrow. The clamp bolt was solid, ended up having to drill it out. Going a size up on the battery this time. _________________ 1972 Westfalia Camper

Today I got more the tools for my VW tool box - it's almost complete.
Getting ready for a road trip this summer. Picking up the bus from shop on Tuesday - gas tank removed & checked due to gas odor. Already replaced seals, sending unit, fuel pump, gas cap, and checked the fuel lines.
12-volt fridge arrived and will start building cabinet for that in a week or so. Getting ready to make new curtains, too.
Reading, research, more reading, and more research. _________________ 1970 Tin Top Westy |

Took Milo out for his first outing of the year. I was surprised how smooth everything went... although there is a growing list of things to sort out...
Beautiful spring days here in UK
