window trim 74 Convertible

Hello
i have installed new door window trim on Charlotte. now the windows will NOT roll up or down without chingering up the new rubber.

Do I trim it? am i supposed to trim it?

something is missing here.

If you are talking about the scraper try rubbing some Graphite into a rag and rubbing the inside of the scraper with it. Buy graphite power at Walmart key section a few bucks, squirt some in your locks while you are at it they will love you.

I have no idea what you're talking about. But if the new rubber is "grabbing" onto the glass and coming out of the groove, then dust the rubber with talcum powder/baby powder. I encountered this about 20 years ago when I re-rubbered my '71 convertible. Powder starch might work too.

Not unusual for the new rubber to be grabby. Make sure the window and the rubber is clean. Sometimes they put "stuff" on new rubber that makes it's grab. I usually just put a little spray silicone on a rag and work it into the seal.
