Quick question about bubble-top aluminum cases

Is the area where the generator stand bolts to raised as well as the case?

no x2. some shroud work or top of case work is usually required.not much.

Thanks guys.... I wasn't sure. It really didn't take too much to get the fan shroud to fit.

Double check and make sure the shroud tin as well as any other tin is NOT directly touching the case with the sharp edges!!! BTDT, learned too late! Rolling Eyes

Another thing I would check , mine was undersized just like others is the snout I.D where the pulley goes in ..

Are there still some floating around out there with misaligned bearing oil passages too? Mine had the snout issue and the oil passage problem, but that was quite awhile back.

I just don't trust any case , mine was all out of wack ... better to check and be sure ..
