Smile I saw this white bus parked in socal today for sell.

I have been crazy about Vw bus forever and I love this bus!

So could someone please tell me which model this bus is?

Owner tells me it's a 72

I might. It it tomorrow in the morning so anything I should watch out for?

What's a good price for it? I saw 50k miles

And some rust under the car.

Thanks guys so much!!!! I'm sooo excited!!!!

Gary is a samba member''aeromech'' he works on busses and sometimes does pre puchase inspections, send him a pm,don't know what he charges but it could save you from buying a very costly bus.

Relax! There are a lot of buses out there. They are all old, with outdated technology. Allmost all need work, some more than others.

Reach out to Aeromech (Gary) and see if he can take a look for you. Pay him what his
time is worth. Also, asiab3 (Robbie) is also a detailed and knowledgeable person. Either one of these guys can save you a lot of grief!

Oh... and WELCOME!

For what it's worth...
It's very cool looking. I like the jalousies with panels behind them. And lots of people are wanting roof racks.

But check The Samba postings here. You'll learn a lot about what and where to look for telltale signs of trouble and what to run away from. I can vouch for Robbie (Asiab3) and Gary (Aeromech) for knowing their stuff. I'd trust either or both of them with mine any day.

Remember this mantra: "Rust is not your friend."

How much do you know about buses? How mechanical are you? How much can you spend on getting it fixed? We can't really tell you if you should buy it, only you can. We can help you from buying a rusted money put with enough information though.

What could have been done to this bus? Owner says it has clear titles

Ask him (or her) for a picture of the plate on the bulkhead behind the LF seat, the VIN could be a typo, but it could have been switched with a donor as well, you don't want to step in a steaming pile like that if it has been swapped.
