That is disgusting... Never pee'd in a sink or gatorade bottle... Never would either. I have lived deep in grizzly bear country and always slept with back open. I use the sink/stove at least two times per week. I use them in perfect weather or not. Makes a great shaded, out of sun and wind spot to eat and sleep. _________________ WIT WA DA DA (Peace and Unity)

Camping with Granny in the late 70's - early 80's, my grandmother would not stop the VW's for us kids to pee. She had a dedicated plastic bottle with a screw cap that we used while driving. She even labeled it the Pee Bottle and kept it behind the drivers seat alongside a 24 pack beer box that she shelf paper lined and used as a trash receptacle. She would throw it at us when one of us started complaining about needing to go after sucking down 3 quarts of lemonade.
Seat belt laws now make that improbable for my own child, but still funny to think about. _________________ Its a mistress; an expensive, whiney, needy bitch of a mistress. For the ladies, and you really need to go there is this item.

I started carrying an empty 1gal red plastic gas can under the bench seat, in my 85 GL when I bought my first vanagon. I continue the tradition in my current vanagon. It has saved me on many occasion while away on trips. Often, in metro areas of California public restrooms are quite few and far between. Only downside, I would like to find the "perfect" black bag for the gas can for carrying into restroom to dump. I have felt a bit conspicuous going to the restroom at a gas station with a gas can.
I only had a westy for a couple years but I always thought the stove, sink, fridge unit was cool. I like washing my hands often. The sink with a foot button I installed was very handy. I like to wash my face in the morning and the sink works well for shaving, brushing etc. |

Does anyone else use a solar hot water heater tied to the poptop crossbar over their sink? I find it a great way to have hot water for washing up and hot water cleans the pots and pans faster. It's easy to hang and doesn't get in the way.
