I have a 74 Thing with a Rusted out chassis. Can you swap it with a 74 Ghia chassis? Somebody told me it was discussed on the Samba, but I cannot find it. _________________ Save a Bug. . .Extinction is Forever! |

I think the rear shock mounts got in the way. On the Thing mounts there is a 181 part # |

Has anyone had any getting insurance issues with a swap like this? I'm getting ready to purchase a 73 thing on a Ghia chassis titled as a Ghia.
Thanks |

Any car body can fit on any chassis as long as you have a plasma cutter. ( almost ) Back in the day, I put a 40 Ford panel van on a 56 Chevy frame and running gear. If you think you can……..you can!
About 5 years ago I put a 64 Ghia body on a 73 Ghia pan. There were interference problems, but not for long. _________________ I may not be that funny or athletic or good looking or smart or talented....I forgot where I was going with this
