So after doing a bunch of searching here, then doing some back and forth with Tirerack to get some Load Rating info on some of their 16x7 or 7.5 Audi/VW fitting rims, seems most are 1400lbs capacity. I have a 95 EVC that I have to rebuild the front and rear suspension, so just ordered spacers from Cavevan.com and getting the HD Bilstein shocks, but trying to find a decent set of Rims preferable at tirerack since I have a wholesale account with them and I can get them mounted and balanced and delivered. Anyone have any suggestions for rims that are going to have a decent load rating? (tires are the easy part!)
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. |

I'd probably try to meet the load rating of the tire. |

Yes, that is what I'm trying to do, but most aftermarket rims are load rated for passenger cars, not the "Great White Whale" EVC. I've found a few on ebay that are listed for a load rating of 1800lbs but wanted to try to get everything from tirerack. |

I suggest then you'll have to look somewhere else (it sounds like you want a "yes" because you are going to buy everything through Tire Rack).
It depends on what you are going to do. If you are just going to drive it around on the street doing simple things like picking up kids or going to the grocery store, then you can get away with it. If you are going to go camping and then load the thing up with goodies and take a 400 mile trip, probably not the best idea.
Right now, I could use any wheel and non load rated tires because I fart around town. When I go camping I load the thing to the hilt and have 4 people in it. I know I'm maxing it out. There's no way I'm going to take a chance with underrated tires or wheels. That's just me. |

That is why i'm asking for suggestions to see if maybe others have found and used ones that will work that I can look into. |

The TireRack carries 15" (ET45) and 16" (ET42) steel rims for Audi that will fit your EVC. _________________

Why not just make a custom set of wires with a Y splice in them. Then you could just run one distributor. |
I don't think electrickery works that way |

There are some other VW/Audi ones that will work. In the end, it depends on what you like the look of (everyone is different).
Also, you'll see many fancy wheels in Europe or the UK that might work. |
