... fuel gauge stick? Is so easy to just look into a fuel tank with a 100 mm cap to see the level... have never run out of fuel or flipped to reserve in my '55... my old Zwitter was different... needed a stick for that for 20 years... have a '55 now, with 100 mm... nice.
... if I ever make some fuel measuring stick gauges, i'll hand 'em out to you guys, at no charge... that way, no one could complain... good Karma too. |
Too aid in visualizing the fuel level in the tank I think I'll just whip out my Zippo lighter and....... |

Your Zwitter should have had the same sized filler neck as the '55. That was used from '55 and down. |
Ovalteen was such a cool username... as far as I remember, all type one beetles to 1956 had 100 mm gas caps, EXCEPT 10/52 to 3/53, Zwitter's had 60 mm opening... weird. _________________ 5/50, pastel green 11G - SOLD

When living in the moment... in a Zen text, I once read about the term "emptiness"... it is defined as letting go of fixed ideas... when using your Zippo, all may be well to see the fuel level. As each moment passes, just repeat, "all is well, all is well" and etc. That is truly... completely. living in this moment, without regard for the next... not easy to do. _________________ 5/50, pastel green 11G - SOLD
