Swapping out my HD's to GoWesty HD's.

Front lower mounting bolt is super seized inside the shock mount. I have tried PB Blaster, heat, 5lb sledge, and 1/2 impact. It will flex a bit when turned but won't break loose from the shock body.

Only other thing I can think of is super heat with acetylene, which I don't have.

Any ideas?

Scott

Seems like you could get a really long breaker bar in there (like a pipe slid over a wrench) and a second person? Just an idea.

You will want to locate a replacement bolt b4 you get carried away. The bolt is seized to the metal sleeve in cased in rubber. It ends up being a no win problem. If you get it to turn, usually the rubber has broken away from the shock tube and you still can't get the bolt out. It blows when a simple task takes a turn for the worse. Heat or saw are probably your only quick options.

cutting the bolt off, can be a big PITA, the last one i had seize like that, i drilled out both ends of the bolt, i was done inside 10 minutes, no fuss, no cut knuckles.
