I purchased a new mirror and visors (left and rights). Is there a special technique in sliding the visor tube over the mirrors stems? I want to make sure before I use some brute force and hammers.

Also on the Right Hand accessory - when I line up the holes the bases sit exactly on top of one another.

They aren't aligned when the main mirror mount is cradles the right hand mount.

Is this correct? Should there be a gasket between anything here?

Thanks,

I make a piece of 3mm aluminium to fit between them to take up that gap.Sometimes need slightly longer screws.

The original accessory visor kit came with a black paper gasket that fit between the mirror and accessory visor bases. The added weight of the extra visor often caused the holes for the original, small diameter visor mounting screws to gall out.
