Just for the archives
Forged 304 Stainless Steel Tie Down Strap
Part Number SDL 081261-1
Mfg stated spec
eye height 3/8"
eye width 1-1/16", 2-1/8"
fastener #10FH
http://www.sea-dog.com/PDF/081261.pdf
and lots o vendors
http://www.wholesalemarine.com/p/S-D-081261-1/
$5-6 a pair
most any marine store in the PNW will stock sea-dog line parts
A ruler says the distance between the center of the old eyelets is 2 1/8"
so make sure you confirm the 2 1/8" size since the pkg I got says
EYE Width - 1 1/16 but they are the 2-1/8 size go figure
Anyways they are direct replacements for those rusted roof rack tie downs.
I torqued up a roof strap & busted the old tie down so I had to go hunting
after a search here failed to find a replacement part# _________________ 89 Westy with TDI AHU 1.9 manual lots of mods

Good call, man.
I upgraded mine last year when I repainted my fiberglass. Good idea to also upgrade your screws to stainless at the same time. No use getting rut stains from the old bolts.
I also added some over-sized washers underneath to spread out the load, so to speak. _________________ 1985 Westy, 1.9L automatic (Daisy)

I just received a set of eight for $27.08 shipped from e-bay seller sandiegowesty. Look nice, includes ss fasteners with nyloc nuts, the allan wrench needed to install plus incredibly FAST shipping. |

I went with these. Near perfect fit, just had to wiggle the rivets in.

I added big stainless washers behind. I'm really not sure why anyone would replace the flat OEM style with the same ones that don't allow you to use any modern strap or bungee???
