Another weekend camping trip up mt Baker and another buried rig to dig out! But boy was it fun. Seems like every time we camp in the mountain the powder gods unload on us , makes for great boarding.

Perhaps you should start taking a snow blower with you.

@wildenbeast -- that looks like a beautiful place! Will add to our list of "places to check out next time we're in Colorado" list. Smile

Unrelated: how are you liking that bike rack? We've got two mountain bikes we'd like to bring along sometimes, and are in the market for one. That's a Fiamma, right?

It is a Fiamma rack and I've used them on several different vans now. I really like them. The 3 bike version that I have will fit 3 road bikes or 2 mountain bikes comfortably. You can get it to fit 3 mountain bikes too, but not easily. With my upgraded hatch struts, I can have my rear hatch lifted with the bikes still on the hatch. It's a really nice added bonus of this rack...

Nice! Smile I was curious in particular about that aspect (having the rear hatch lifted without having to remove the rack). Thanks for the info!

There is a PNW group called Wetwesties that I joined up with for their annual Ft Flagler WA camping trip. Fort Flagler, Fort Casey and Fort Worden made up a triangle of defense for the main inlet into the Seattle Puget Sound area, from 1899 to 1953. 50 vans in total. Fun group. Lots of roaming deer.
