I have the body off, replacing the pans, and am ready to place it back on. Since I did not take the body off, I don't know what rubber was there.

My questions are:

1. What rubber fits between the body, and the chassis? Where is it available? Any pictures appreciated.

2. Read in a search, that there is rubber between the body and pan. True? Where available? Pictures?

The pieces that were taken off, bolts, etc. did not have any rubber.

Thanks in advance for your help.

From the factory was a sticky tape seal. The replacement part is a pan seal from a Beetle. you can also use topper tape from trucks. If you use the Beetle part be sure they list it to be long enough for a Thing or Ghia. The Thing Shop has a seal in their listing.

Is this between the body and pan, or the body and crossmembers, or both? By crossmembers, I mean the lateral section ahead, and behind the pan.
