I went out with a local Overlanders group to run some trails. I was the only van, only 2wd, only VW, and only person dumb enough to bring a kitchen sink.
A lot of the naysayers are now believers. I did need some assistance once due to a very stubborn tree root that didn't want to let me pass.
Had a blast!

Indeed it is, the "cypress tunnel" that leads to the old KPH radio station. Great history:

Can get over just driving and stay wherever I end up.
Just fyi, the Nemo Tango Duo sleeping bag fits the EVC mattresses perfectly and are super comfy. Dual-purpose as I also backpack.

Took my new EVC on a jaunt from Pdx to GTNP. Ran like a dream.
Lovely to be in the park before the big crowds.

The Tetons have a special place in my heart. I lived there for 5 years and if my circumstances were different I'd move back in a heart beat. I visit every chance I get. I was road testing the EVC which performed well.

Had such a blast at Baker lake WA, last weekend with the family and who would've thought that you could still find free lakeside camping with no reservation on memorial weekend!?! Even though the lake was bloody freezing my kids couldn't keep out of it.
