My neighbor is parting out a '74 911 that had an major engine fire. I was thinking about a buying the front fenders which are in excellent condition as you never know when one may need them.

Few questions:
1. '74 fenders will fit any 911 '74-89, correct? Are there any differences with later cars?
2. One of the fenders has a little rust (see pic). That's only place I could find it. This is the right fender and it's strangely at the top of it. Rest of it solid with no bondo. Could this be a major problem down the road?
3. any ideas what these fenders are worth repainted but clean with no damage and in great overall shape? With headlights included

Look in the classifieds - there are a bunch of fenders for 74-89 models. That will give you an idea of what they are worth.

It's hard to tell what kind of rust damage there is with your photo - do you have a zoomed out photo?

1. Any short hood fender will fit with no issue from 74-89.
2. I wouldn't worry about that rusted area. If you can do some fab, you can fix the top portion of the joining panel, if not, you can buy a new one for fairly cheap. http://www.restoration-design.com/store/product/PP207R
3. Short hood fenders aren't worth much, maybe a couple hundred bucks each if that. H4's are worth some money. usually 300-400 a piece new.
