I'll throw my hat in the ring with a nice round number of 36. _________________ nothing |

Just got my printouts… Aaaaaand the dyno had to have been broken.
18hp at the wheels.
341 ft-lbs of torque.
I'm going back soon because there's no way that second number is possible. And I really think I'm closer to 25 at the wheels from a pull I did last year. Sorry to bum you guys out.
Still the slowest bus here regardless of numbers,

Your numbers make perfect sense.
Engine torque at peak, 81.
Overall 4th/rear axle ratio 4:40
multiply the two: 356.2 ft/lbs at wheels minus driveline friction loss
I don't remember where I read that it takes 11 hp to maintain freeway velocity, but somewhere i read that it takes 11 hp to maintain freeway velocity and hell, I don't don't doubt that our windsail front ends are good for stealing 7 horsepower right off the top.

interesting....
I based my number on a friend who dyno'd a very tired 1600 s/p in his bus.
figure it started at 60+/- at the crank. wow, she's tired. I had a moped make 32 at the rear wheel. it was scary as hell doing 70 and realizing your drum brakes were just a bit bigger than the diameter of a coke can _________________
