this may sound like a silly question but I've been looking at some photos can anyone say for sure without any doubt that the drivers outside door handle on splits ALWAYS had a key lock? I'm talking even the early ones, CCG, KDF, etc....?
and other than the keylock, are the handles "handed", meaning interchangeable from left to right? they look the same top to bottom like it would not matter which door they were on? Any info appreciated. |

The handles can be installed on either side, but you need to match the inner latch mechanism to the handle for them to function right.
There are many examples of the locking handle on the passenger door on 50s cars and the non locker on the drivers. This topic has come up in the past, spend some time with the search.
