Dude, you are the master of disaster... The one I have (currently bolted on, being taken off now) is in good shape. I don't believe it's rusted out, the seals were cracked, but I need to verify (can't, it's at the shop - this piece of the puzzle was outside of the scope of my brainpower).
Once I have that, I will let you know.
I have also reserved that NAPA part, j.i.c.
I'll snag a seal kit and will send pics of the master as soon as I have it in hand. I have another one here but it's pretty rusted, the other one I have is much better.
Thanks in advance,

those stinkin' seal kits are impossible to find... the NAPA near me is checking into the remanufactured master b/c there are "none in the company" at the moment, too. Ordered one from Summit. I'll cross my fingers:) _________________ 1972 VW 411 |

Rockauto is normally a good source for the Raybestos MK514 repair kit....but it is currently out of stock.
http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/volkswagen,1972...r+kit,1840
Their stock is fluid and parts come and go so click on the link and click the button that is in the right hand lower corner and they will let you know when its in stock.
Also...hang onto that rusted cylinder core...or if you don't want it you can send it to me and I will plate it. Ray |
