My 1964 bug won't turn on the headlamps work but the stereo won't I think it's the battery but I tried jumping it and it didn't work so do I need another new battery or what please help! I use the 12v battery |

Turn on headlights. If your headlights don't dim when you try to start, then electrical wiring from the headlight switch or the electrical part of the ignition switch.
If the stereo doesn't work bu lights work, doubt that it's just a battery issue. _________________ 1970 VW (owned since 1972) and 1971 VW Convertible (owned since 1976), second owner of each. It doesn't try to turn over at all. When I try to start it absolutely nothing happens |

Probably wiring issue; check the wire from the light switch to the fusebox and/or ignition switch. Start there and use a test light or VOM to check. |
