Hello,
It's been a long time since Ive posted on here. Just finally get my bug going again. I need to get tires for my Fuchs, but I'm trying to determine the best tire size for my setup.
66' bug w/ 68 IRS Pan (Subie Motor)
4" Narrowed Beam w/ Air Ride
Air Bags being installed in the rear.
16x6 and 16x7 Fuchs, I want to figure out the best tire sizes to buy now because my car is currently separated from the pan, and I want to make it a roller without buy-ing tires twice. I'd still like some meat on the rear tires if possible.
Thanks in advance! _________________ 1966 VW bug - under construction |

I think 215's will fit on the back, but it would probably be best to get something used (maybe some 205's?) to get the pan rolling, and then you can see how much room you have when the body's back on the pan. I wouldn't go taller than 25" on the back. Some 195/50's (23.7" tall) will work on the front.
As usual, just my 2 1/2 cents (I'm Canadian, eh). Al _________________ On a lifelong mission to prove (much to my wife's dismay) that Immaturity is Forever!! |
