Hey Burley.
Here's a bump for you and your top quality parts. Loved working with you on my build and all your help on the phone. Who knew back then that we'd be neighbors? Hope the sale goes well. _________________ My 1987 Syncro Westy build:

Cool graphics, but somehow I don't think the Canadian National Park Service will let you go off-roading at Moraine Lake! _________________ Currently:

I looked up Moraine Lake because I was a bit confused?! And, man, it sure does look like that beautiful lake up there!! Kind of funny. I sent this sketch drawing (and I mean rough-draft-childish-ugly!! lol.) to my graphics guy back in 2008, and this is what he drew up for us.
We love the art work! But, truly, it is a design right from my own head. However, Moraine Lake is quite the sight to behold. _________________ Protect your investment !

Burley, owner of Burley Motorsports, is the proud recipient of the Best Technical Innovation award, given at Syncrofest 2017!
An award-winning innovation, Burley Motorsports is proud to offer the new generation of their Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit to fit both Vanagon and Syncro vehicles. With over three years in testing, this package is tried and true, and rated for 6K GVW; it is absolutely the most enduring rear disc brake kit on the market today. We receive great feedback from our customers with every shipment.
As always, we are proud to say that this product is made Burley, right here in the USA!
Includes
2 new calipers with carriers
2 new rotors and pads
2 zinc-plated adapter brackets with necessary hardware
2 stainless steel braided hoses (runs from caliper to hardline on the Vanagon body)
2 new parking brake cables
Fits
2WD Vanagon
4WD Syncro
**Requires the rear hub diameter to be machined down. Any local automotive machine shop can do this for approx. $75 for the pair. Ask your local shops for direct quotes. _________________ Protect your investment !

Thank you for the congrats
The new gen kit features components from a vehicle that is 20 years or more newer and a 6000 lbs GVW rating.
The parking brake holds well on a slope.
Kit comes with new parking brake cables so no modifying stock cables like before.
The old kits components came from a vehicle that is now considered a relic so
they stopped making some of the key components and it was just time to redesign / up grade. _________________ Protect your investment !

Thanks for your reply Burley. How much more improved is the parking brake compared to your 1st gen kit? If rear drums are a "10" for the parking brake, what would you rate both your 1st gen and 2nd gen rear disc brake kit on a scale of 1-10? _________________ 1990 Multivan - "Ohana"

Hi, how much will this new rear disk brake system improve stopping power over drum brakes?
I currently have big brake kit on the front.
thanks.

Burley Motorsports rear disc brake kit is a nice upgrade over the stock drum brakes.
BMS rear disc brake conversion kit used components from a vehicle rated at 6000 LBS GVW.
We estimate an approx increase of 15 % in rear stopping power over the original Vanagon standard rear drum brakes.
Its a well known fact that most new trucks now come standard with rear disc brakes because of there increased performance and ease of servicing.
We thought Vanagon owners should also enjoy these modern features _________________ Protect your investment !

Hey Burley,
Nice as always to see you at Syncrofest.
Question (& you don't need to say sourcing specifically), but are the shoes, caliper parts, & rotors readily available when it come times to service them?
That was a big concern for me when updating to the front big brake kit.
Thanks,

It was nice to see you at SF as well
Replacement parts are easy to get and readily available.
This is one of the reasons we updated from our old kit. _________________ Protect your investment !
