Special thanks goes out to my friend Jose' in Portugal for helping me obtain this beautiful Tekno #819 "Deutsche Bundespost"/ German Post Office beetle.
(been sitting almost a year now, before I could get to it.....)

Enjoy!

Certainly another signature piece for your collection, but then again, your collection is full of signature pieces!

Thanks Baron Smile

Yes, I'm trying to collect the entire set of original Postal/Telephone Service Beetles made by Tekno Denmark ca. 1963 to 1974.

I'm missing now only the Swedish Postal and the Telephone service "TELE" and the last version of the Swiss PTT in solid yellow, Tekno Volkswagen's are one of my specialties.

All that again once my personal issues are cleared up, no time or money for collecting anything now.....

Tom

Was at a non VW swap meet the other day and brought home this. Never heard of Midge Toys before, but couldn't resist. Are these rare-ish? Love the "BUGPAK" packaging.

The Midgetoy from Rockford, Ill., itself is not that hard to find, it's like one level of difficulty higher than a Tootsietoy, but the sealed Bug Pack
is the way you want to find them!

Here is a rarity: the Midgetoy raw casting as it came out of the die.

That raw casting is interesting. It is amazing what turns up in the VW collector world.

No wonder I don't find anything at the antique co-ops when I'm up there!

Mini Lindys are a personal fave.
