When I find bent rods like that I look very carefully at the C shaped thing on the flap the rod attaches to, if its been stretched the fulcrum changes and the flaps may not open fully. |
Thanks for the heads up, but in this case, the rod was on a different set of flaps than the ones that I'll be using. It's still worth checking though. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

Can a doghouse fan shroud be added to a single port engine? _________________ -Andy-

Yes, but you'll need a doghouse style cooler as well as the adaptor mount and the appropriate seals to convert the oil port sizes (depending on your case), you'll also need the wider fan and a different link bar for the thermostat mechanism. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

I know right?
It just occured to me you'll also have to retap the case or use step studs since most SP's have 6mm studs yet the adaptor is 8mm.
Along with the front tin Tcash posted (you can cut a hole in your existing tin if you like) you'll need the 2 exhaust duct tins for the cooler to reach that hole. And a Hoover bit, can't forget that. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
