Vacuum pipe 1974 SB

Whilst installing my engine, the vacuum pipe on the vacuum canister on the distributer broke off again.

What's the best method of fixing it?

Buy a new or used vacuum canister....
if that's not possible I imagine you can't braze weld or silver solder it since it has a rubber/fabric diaphragm inside, unless you take it apart first......you might try cleaning it thoroughly and using JB weld or the equivalent.

Many thanks for your suggestion.

I did epoxy it last time and it held ok, until I Manhandled the engine back in, and it broke off again.

If it is plastic, you could drill a 5/32" hole and glue in a short length of brass tubing.
