The decals used by the company i work for survived!!
This bus used to train car mechanics to become a AAA or AA roadguard.
The massive decal's are heavy. I think the weigh about 10kg each.
The current state is absolute fenomenal, no pitting of chips in the chrome.
Here's a photo to see how big the decal really is.
This is the decal used on the nose.

Wow, those are awesome, and massive _________________ regards

Wow! Sorry to dig up a really old post, but this is the first time I have seen this, and I agree, this does look an awful lot like the Green Flash.
The wheel arch trim path looks identical. The Green Flash looks like it has has holes in the nose exactly where the antenna is mounted on this picture.
Pretty darned convincing!
Has Malik seen this picture?

Looks like the 'green flash' samba. Same green? Same arch trim/design. |

I wonder if it's some sort of aftermarket/home made vent? I always wondered why VW didn't incorporate crotch cooler vents into buses. _________________ nothing |

We reckon these rhd Barndoors are Nigerian.
LA = Lagos, Nigeria's capital.
Nigeria changed from rhd to lhd in 1972.
Nigeria, a former British colony, gained independence in 1960.
Very British-looking plates. _________________ -StockRocks- |

All correct. Nigeria used the same typeface letters and formats as the UK. _________________ 1947 Beetle

I've not been through all 160 pages recently so forgive me if these are old news... all look to be of the same bus:

Whoa. It took me a few days, but I went through all 160 pages. Great thread, thanks to everyone who scours the web for these cool vintage pics
Also, my opinion on watermarks: leave 'em alone
