So I got a free longblock today .. the case says AJ under gen Pad.. but the #3 cyl has a lot more support then I am use to seeing.. I searched google for cases looking for one like it.. I only found aftermarket ones that still did not look like this.. and.. are these 36 hp rods and the crank ? 69mm ? cross drilled ?

AJ-series = Fuel Injection 75- on later. All are AS21 material. Very nice case to use. 8mm standard factory inserts, deep stud #3.
All you need is a good wash and inspection see how it is. |

Yes it looks like its going to be a good.. was a running motor just to much end play.. it has standard thrust and standard main journals and standard bore.. needs to be cut next size but looks good..so far..
I did find that info on year and fuel injection but that was obvious it still has the flywheel pick up in back of case just cut off at wire end.. thanks for the extra info.. now another question.. as in whats it worth ? 250? 300? |

Depends if it is cherry - could be worth that. All depends on how much you want to get rid of it or how much somebody wants it and what the market can bear.
I keep a few for myself for a rainy day. |
