Hello everyone! I have a '64 1200, all stock except converted to 12 volt. Could anyone tell me what points and condenser I should be using on this setup? Thanks a lot!

I've found that, contrary to what others may say, condensers can and will last several sets of points. The stock 1 237 013 026 (01 006) points, like a lot of older VW parts, may be starting to become scarce... so last time I needed some for my 62, I bought a couple of spares, I think I'm set for a very long time.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox.

Good advice, thanks. My points and condensor have been installed for over 40 years, so I'm replacing them as preventive maintenance

X2. It was routine maintenance to change these out but the new replacements are just junk. I went through multiple sets of the new crap and had multiple failures. I don't even DD my VW anymore. Pulled old, crusty ones out of a box, cleaned them up and been good ever since.
