Hello everyone! I have a '64 1200, all stock except converted to 12 volt. Could anyone tell me what points and condenser I should be using on this setup? Thanks a lot! |

I've found that, contrary to what others may say, condensers can and will last several sets of points. The stock 1 237 013 026 (01 006) points, like a lot of older VW parts, may be starting to become scarce... so last time I needed some for my 62, I bought a couple of spares, I think I'm set for a very long time. _________________ Andy T.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox. |

Good advice, thanks. My points and condensor have been installed for over 40 years, so I'm replacing them as preventive maintenance |

X2. It was routine maintenance to change these out but the new replacements are just junk. I went through multiple sets of the new crap and had multiple failures. I don't even DD my VW anymore. Pulled old, crusty ones out of a box, cleaned them up and been good ever since. |
