i would like to run some 2.0 liter porsche alloys on my 67 but want to put some porsche center caps but they wont fit because of the front dust cap so my question is.....can i modify or run with out the front dust caps?

If you try to run without the dust caps, you'll need to find a new way to anchor the end of the speedometer cable.

c21darrel's response in the Speedo cable chronic breaking thread does a great job of clearly showing how the speedometer cable is anchored in the driver's side dust cap ...

I suppose with modern technology being as it is, you could live without the OG speedometer and just roll with speedometer app on your smartphone. Wink

The modified dust cap on the right works for me, although the center caps on my 2.0 liter Fuchs have the Wolfsburg emblem instead of Porsche...
