Hi,
Some of the last update before HO !
This week end I've worked on the last thing I had to fix, I have cleaned and modify a little bit the B emblem, I also have fix the headlight, they were hacked by the previous owner to raise the car, they cutted the reflector adjusting bracket and popped it and so drilled the headlight housing
The bulbholder spring was also missing, I build a pair to be ready to go to HO
So, I'll need a pair of good reflector and spring after the show
Here are the headlight after a good cleaning job !! That's a shame they have been hacked when you see how in good condition they are, they look like NOS

Awesome bug right there ! It was so great to drive together to HO17 and see this oval from my bus.
Here is a little movie of the bug in action, taken from my 15w.

And a picture along the road and once arrived in HO :

Hi,
Here some of the parts I've found at HO
I'll replace my restored horn by this almost perfect original paint bosch horn, it'll match perfectly with my 53 and it's working perfectly !
Here is how it looks after a cleaning job and check up

I've also bought this NOS hand brake inspection cover
Still in original paint and with the good patina to fit my 53

Hi,
Little update fews weeks after HO
I'm working on the things I didn't fixed before the show
The driver window can't go down completely, today I decided to fix it and as I was thinking the cogwheel is damaged ! Will have to find how to fix it
That's interrested to see that even the window regulator is stamped 3/53 !! One more part matching the car
I'll work also on the door card, I'd stitch a patch of original chevron fabric.
If someone has a small piece of it to help me it'd nice

I've fixed similar damage like this by welding material onto the teeth and then filing them back into shape. It will keep the original part. Just be patient on the filing or grinding.
Sorry I missed you in HO. It was a mad house. First at BBT, then the caravan and HO. _________________ I'm Martin

Hi,
Some update.
These last days I've worked to fix my window regulator and took the décision to rebuild a new part.
I built the 3D file from mesurements of my broken cogwheel
I sent the file to my friend Mika virtanen who has used laser cut.
Here the prototype who fits perfectly to the original
Next step is to mount it well

Hi,
Some update after a little break
I removed the ribbed semaphore to detail it : some cleaning and paint job.
Have found a pair of original swf paper decals to make it perfect 😊
Last thing was to change the original bulbs for blInking LED, the only non original thing I decided to do for safety !
