Hey guys,
I've been looking to find some information on the original color of the fender beading and running board mats on my Februari 1961, type 113 Gulf Blue Beetle.
Can someone help me out?
Should the fender beading be color coordinated? (if so: Gulf Blue?)
Should the running board mats be color coordinated (if so: Satin Blue?)
Can't seem to find conclusive documentation, all help is really appreciated! |

Yes on both. 015 Satin Blue for the running board mats and the fender beading was the same color as the car's paint. _________________ Andy T.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox. |

I looked it up in my copy of Garwood's Car of the Century book, which was written using his lifetime of documents accumulated working for VW. But that's not an online resource. Wolfsburg West has some color charts but I notice that for 1961 very little is included. 62-63, for the exterior , was the same though. http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/colors/colorchrt.cfm _________________ Andy T.
