This is happening on a bicycle forum I frequent. Evidently, Photobucket has a new policy regarding third party hosting that will cause all your pix to be blanked out here until you pay PB more money, and I have seen the result here. There's a screen that looks like a speedometer where your pix used to be. I upload my pix here so it's not a problem for me, but I know lots of users link to PB. Sorry for the bad news. _________________ '87 Westy in Wolfram Grey Metallic |

PB had been causing me all sorts of performance problems as well as presenting an unbelievable number of ads and pop-ups you have to wade thru to get to anything. This is the last straw - they can keep the pix and I'll start over elsewhere. |

Oh goody, I get to migrate all my pictures again! Just did that a couple of years ago when Google "improved" Picasa into utter uselessness.
I get that they need the ad revenue to keep the lights on, but pissing people off to the point where they leave seems .. counterproductive in the long run. |

Very slow loading, I usually just close the page. If you do click on a picture you get a page of crud with a little picture. _________________ Vanagon ’83 diesel AAZ w/Giles injection, 5spd 4.57R&P+TBD and a '78 diesel Rabbit |

I've been using postimage.org and it seems to work well.
I tried using the forum servers but got confused (easy for me to do). I would rather have them here though - the van related ones anyway _________________ 82 Vanagon Westy - AAZ 1.9 TD, HE200 Holset, WAIC, 27.75 dia tires, Electric power steering, 5-speed AAP w/.078 5th

We are just discussing this on another forum I frequent.
Previously, I used ImageShack until they pulled the same crap. Every image I'd ever posted disappeared, and it has a really bad effect on Forums!
Can't help but wonder if FarceBook is somehow behind such things, as this drives people to FB in droves. _________________ ‘84 Westy, 2.1L with Digijet, 5.43 R+P, GT Gears

there is a solution: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6
however, it would be awful nice if you could copy paste photos into a post. ye olde phpbb is behind the times. but so is my van. _________________ 84 Vanagon Westy, 1.9L, California raised but defected to Canada. |

If you wish to vent your frustration over the new Photobucket CEO's insanely greedy decision, continue doing so in the below thread :
