so I was just doing some checking on mcodes. I'm looking for the origami latch and was wondering if and sliders are truly have 6 pop outs or just 4? Mine is coded for 6 but only four are still pop outs. The drivers side like a normal standard lith the front facing forward and the rear two facing backwards. but the front sliding door is supposed to have the special latch. and then two rear? But I've only ever seen the one pop out on the front window.
like this:
but what about all 6 pop out?
But then this?
What I need:
setup? _________________ Arachibutyrophobia- Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth.

that latch is split bus slider window specific. More unobtainium than slider handles and mechanisms. If I ever saw one available, I would be more on it than a kamakazi fly on a fresh pile of dung. So yes, welcome to the world of "I need that" lol. Being in the uk, you might have better luck than I do finding one. _________________ Waiting for santa to drop off funky green. For the standard, on the sliding door side, the 2 rear windows are fixed. Only the first is a popout. So total of 4 popouts. |

As parts for the sliding door keep rising, has anyone contemplated grafting in the carcass/frame from an early bay to fit in early bay hardware for the sliding door?
Not to mention the U hinge is a big pain in the butt as it is different length from bay.
My split is a RHD , so the door is on the left.
Lastly, my bus is missing the top roller, any idea if a bay one can fit? |

This guy might have the parts you need. The parts are expensive, but you have a rare bus. Baywindow stuff tends to be specific. I've learned this saying from a good friend of mine Stan aka stanagon "money talks, bull shit walks." Especially when you have a hobby that requires excess money sometimes to get the job done correctly.

What I meant was to cut out the frame of the bay bus, install that frame into the split sliding door and use the bay hardware. |

I think that would be more time and money. Not to mention it will never be square. _________________ Arachibutyrophobia- Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth.

Does any one have any close up pics of the slider pop out latch from the outside and the glass?
I managed to get a slider catch but it didn't come with a plate for the outside of the window and it looks like I'll have to machine one. |
Hope this helps. I found this on a recent trip to Europe. I blew it by not purchasing it. I was concerned it would just sit on the shelf since I don't have a slider bus. _________________ Phil 4:13

It's really hard to make out the part number on the back. Dang! _________________ Arachibutyrophobia- Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth.
