I took my Thing out for a drive a couple of days ago and after going over a set of railroad tracks I noticed something weird.
The suspension made some noise going over the railroad tracks and there was a bit of shake in the front end. Seemed normal to me, but after the front wheels had passed over the tracks the steering wheel continued to shake for a second or so more.
I haven't owned the vehicle for very long, but I don't remember it doing that before.
When I got back home I jacked up the front end and took a torque wrench to all the suspension bolts. Everything was already torqued properly. Steering assembly also looked to be in good shape.
The entire front end was totally rebuilt a while back and is in very good condition.
Is this steering quiver normal for a Thing or have I missed something? |

Check the steering damper. _________________ Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.
